Montel Participates in the Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge

Montel, a global leader of high-density mobile storage shelving system solutions, was proud to support “Team Montel” as they took part for a second consecutive year in the Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge on March 12th, at Stoneham Mountain Resort. As a true fan of both challenges and ski, Montel staff Jerome Doucet, Pascal Gagnon and Joey P. Boudreau participated in this fun-filled fundraising activity to support children with cancer and their families.

The Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge is an annual fundraising activity for skiers and snowboarders. In teams of four, each team member must make a minimum of one descent per hour, for 12 consecutive hours (from noon to midnight). The Challenge is a friendly activity open to the entire family and to skiers and snowboarders of all ages.

This year, the Leucan 12-Hour Ski Challenge, also known as the Défi ski 12 h Leucan, celebrates its sixth anniversary. At Stoneham, with 136 teams taking part, the event raised an impressive $150,000, Team Montel donated $1,700.

Leucan (www.leucan.qc.ca/en) was founded in 1978. In addition to its support for clinical research, the Association provides to children with cancer and their families many services adapted to their needs: welcome, emotional assistance and support, financial assistance, massage therapy, hosting and support in playrooms, socio-recreational activities, school life services and end-of-life and bereavement follow-up services.
